Why This Guide Exists
Idaho law and agency rules can make portions of arrest and booking information available, but public access does not mean every record appears in one search. Shoshone County has no verified live public jail roster. The Sheriff’s Office creates or maintains county arrest and booking records, Shoshone County Jail handles intake, and a written public-record request covers records or booking photographs that are maintained and releasable. Idaho VINE can help with custody changes when a participating record is present. The Idaho Department of Correction serves people in state prison or under IDOC supervision, and iCourt is the official route for the later court case.
Those systems are easy to confuse. A dated newspaper booking entry is not proof of current custody. An IDOC result does not replace a county jail record, and a booking charge does not establish guilt. We organize the official sources by the question each can answer, explain their limits, and provide a records-focused path through them. No individual mugshots are copied or displayed here.
What Readers Can Find
The site focuses on the practical steps needed to follow a Shoshone County arrest without turning an allegation into a verdict. Its main resources include:
- A county-wide guide to recent arrests, jail custody, booking records, mugshot requests, warrants, public-record law, and official source checks.
- Separate same-day and multi-day pages that explain the absence of a verified live county feed and the limits of the dated local-news booking column.
- A VINELink guide for checking one person’s custody status and registering for release or transfer notices when the service offers them.
- Wallace, Kellogg, and Pinehurst arrest pages that explain the city enforcement agency, county booking destination, and appropriate records custodian.
- Step-by-step help for a specific booking record or photograph request, including the county law-enforcement addendum and the role of Idaho public-record exemptions.
- Clear distinctions among county jail custody, IDOC prison or supervision, federal detention, immigration custody, and the court disposition that follows booking.
Limits of This Site
Shoshone County Recent Arrests is privately run. It is not part of Shoshone County, the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office, Shoshone County Jail, the Idaho Department of Correction, a court, or any other local, state, or federal agency. We do not possess official files and cannot confirm a person’s current custody, charges, release date, or case result.
- We cannot release, hold, move, or locate a person on behalf of a jail or prison.
- We cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds for a reader.
- We cannot provide legal advice or interpret how a law applies to a particular case.
- We cannot promise that an agency’s phone number, hours, fees, web page, or search result will never change.
Only the government office that created or keeps a record can provide an official copy. Current custody, charges, and release status must be confirmed by the responsible sheriff, jail, corrections agency, or court.
Search Partner Disclosure
Some pages contain search boxes supplied by independent third-party providers. Those companies set their own prices, terms, coverage, and result formats. If a search tool leads to a paid enrollment, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the public guides available without charge. We do not control a partner’s billing or search results, and a paid result is not an official Shoshone County record.
