This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody or has been released. We also cannot release a person, post bond, pull an official booking record, or supply a government booking photograph. Contact the office that holds the record or person directly.

Find the Right Public Office

Most Shoshone County arrest and jail questions should begin with the Sheriff’s Office. The jail and sheriff share the same stable address and main phone:

Shoshone County Sheriff and Jail

Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office
Shoshone County Jail

717 Bank Street
Wallace, ID 83873
Phone: (208) 556-1114
Fax: (208) 753-8851
Office hours: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Use the main number for a current county-custody question and ask what identity details staff require. A written arrest, incident, booking-record, or booking-photo request should use the county public-record form and its law-enforcement addendum. The form is administered through Shoshone County at 700 Bank Street, Wallace, ID 83873; phone (208) 752-3331; email bocc@co.shoshone.id.us. Processing fees can apply, and no flat booking-photo price was verified.

Choose the route that matches the record stage:

  • Recent arrest or current jail custody: call Shoshone County Jail. No official live county roster or same-day booking feed was verified.
  • Booking record or photograph: submit the county public-record request and complete the Sheriff’s Office law-enforcement addendum with the person’s name, date range, location, incident number if known, and date or time of incarceration.
  • Release or transfer notice: search Idaho VINELink and register for the options offered on the matched record. Confirm urgent or unclear status with the jail.
  • Later court outcome: use the Idaho iCourt Portal or contact the Shoshone County Clerk, 700 Bank Street, Suite 120, Wallace, ID 83873. The clerk’s main phone is (208) 752-1264, and the courts line is (208) 752-1266.
  • State prison, probation, or parole: use the Idaho Department of Correction Resident/Client Search. IDOC custody is distinct from a county jail booking.
  • Federal custody: use the Federal Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator. A county arrest does not automatically create a BOP result.
  • Immigration detention: use the ICE Online Detainee Locator. ICE custody is separate from Shoshone County Jail and IDOC.
  • City-specific records: Kellogg and Pinehurst have municipal police departments. Wallace law enforcement is provided by Shoshone County under a service agreement. Confirm the arresting agency before filing a request.

For a broad explanation of custody stages, dated booking publications, photo requests, and source limits, use the Shoshone County recent-arrests guide. Remember that a booking charge is an accusation. The court record, not the jail intake entry, supplies the later disposition.
