Shoshone County VINELink Coverage
Idaho VINE is sponsored by the Idaho Sheriffs' Association. The association partners with Appriss. That partnership connects the service to jail booking systems across the state and to the Idaho Department of Correction. Registered users get notices about incarceration status and release from jail or prison. There is also a court-notification module built with the Idaho Supreme Court for hearing dates.
For Shoshone County, that statewide picture needs careful wording. A booking may surface in the search when the participating facility supplies data. Not every Shoshone County Jail record appears there at once. Some may not appear at all. The county runs no separate SAVIN brand. It also has no jail app and no Sheriff's Office inmate app. VINELink is the web and mobile experience that exists. It is not a booking-photo feed.
A saved search or direct Idaho route may be missing. Start at the official VINELink entry page.
The entry screen opens into state selection and a person search. No public list of Shoshone County detainees appears there.
Run a Shoshone County VINELink Check
Search for one known person. The live interface decides which fields are offered. Type names and other identifiers exactly, since common names return multiple matches and a small spelling difference can hide the record you want.
- Open the VINELink Idaho person search and confirm that Idaho is selected.
- Enter the person’s full legal name and any other identity field offered by the live form.
- Review likely matches. Compare the facility, status, age, or identifier only when the result displays that detail.
- If a facility filter appears, look for Shoshone County or Shoshone County Jail. Do not select a record merely because the name is close.
- Open the match and note its custody status, facility, and update information.
- Register for alerts from that record if the option is available and the identity match is sound.
The official Idaho search screen shows the state route a Shoshone County custody query takes.
The page runs a person-by-person search, not a roster, mugshot gallery, or list of everyone recently arrested.
Shoshone VINELink Custody Results
Exact fields depend on the facility feed and the live interface. VINELink works best as a custody and notification tool. It is not a full arrest history, and the county offers no Shoshone-specific photo display.
| Possible result field | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Name or person identifier | Compare with known details before selecting a record. |
| Custody status | Read the status and update time, then confirm urgent questions with the jail. |
| Facility or agency | Distinguish county jail custody from IDOC prison or supervision. |
| Status change | A release or transfer notice reports movement, not a court outcome. |
| Notification option | Register through the phone, text, email, app, or TTY choice offered. |
| Photo | Display varies by agency; no Shoshone County VINE photo was confirmed. |
"Released" means the named custodian no longer reports the person in that status. It does not always mean the person went home. A transfer, another hold, or a state sentence can change where someone sits. A new custodian can change it as well. "In custody" simply describes custody at the moment the system was updated.
Register Shoshone County Custody Alerts
Registration starts from the matched person record, not from a county-wide subscription. Pick only the delivery methods the live service offers. Idaho materials describe phone and email notices. The flow may also offer text, app, or TTY choices, though availability varies.
- Confirm that the selected person and facility match.
- Select the registration or notification option attached to the result.
- Choose an offered method and enter accurate contact information.
- Create the four-digit PIN when phone notification or the flow requires it.
- Complete verification and save the registration details.
- Update VINELink when a phone number or email address changes.
The PIN acknowledges a voice notice. It also controls a registration. Store it somewhere findable, and skip numbers someone else could guess. An unacknowledged call may repeat. That repeat does not mean every facility change lands in the system at once.
Idaho VINE Phone Alert Cycle
The official IDOC victim-services page provides Idaho-specific guidance about phone notices and PIN acknowledgement.
The image matches the two-hour call interval described for Idaho VINE phone notifications. It also shows the 48-hour acknowledgement cycle.
IDOC says a phone call can repeat every two hours. It keeps that pattern for 48 hours until the four-digit PIN is entered. Keep the scope clear. IDOC's page covers correctional victim services. The Sheriffs' Association describes the jail booking interfaces and IDOC connections. The cycle does not create a Shoshone-only program. It also offers no fixed jail-data refresh, and no guaranteed notice for each custody event. Miss a call? Check VINELink and contact the facility.
Missing Shoshone County VINELink Results
A no-result screen is not proof that no arrest occurred. The person may have just been booked. The facility feed may lag. The name may differ from your search entry, or another custodian may hold them. Shoshone County publishes no perfect second search in the form of a public online roster. The direct fallback is Shoshone County Jail at (208) 556-1114.
Ask staff what identity facts they need for a current-custody check. For a retained booking record, use the county public-record form. For a photograph, use the law-enforcement addendum too. A dated Shoshone News-Press booking item can pin down a historic date. The adult-only multi-day publication may stay online after release.
For a person reportedly booked today, no official same-day web feed fills the gap. The Shoshone County 24 Hour Arrests page explains why. The county's dated news list may post later and cannot prove present custody. If the name still cannot be confirmed, write down the exact spelling tried. Note the time of the check and the agency believed to have made the arrest. That gives jail staff or the records custodian a clear request. Silence from one system is not a final answer.
County Jail Versus IDOC Custody
Custody in Idaho splits into layers. A Shoshone County arrest lands in the county jail first. That booking stays a local matter. A sentence to state prison, or a term on state probation and parole, moves a person into a different system. IDOC runs a Resident/Client Search for that population, and the agency updates it every day. It is not a Shoshone County arrest feed.
Federal custody sits apart as well. The Bureau of Prisons locator handles federal inmates only. ICE keeps its own detention lookup. Idaho VINE materials make no promise of covering either federal system. So if VINELink flags a transfer, or a Shoshone County name drops off the county roster, find out who holds the person next before you pick a search.
Booking photos work differently too. Idaho law requires a photo at county jail intake. Shoshone County publishes no photo roster, though. VINELink's photo display varies from case to case. Want one booking photo in particular? Ask the Sheriff's Office records custodian, since exemptions and redactions can apply.
The Shoshone County recent-arrests guide pulls together the jail phone, booking publication, records request steps, and the state and federal paths. Turn to it when a custody alert is not enough and you need the underlying arrest record or photo. Treat VINELink as one link in that chain, never the whole answer.
Custody Alerts Are Not Dispositions
VINE tracks custody, plain and simple. An alert can mean release on bond, release by court order, a cleared hold, a transfer, or some other event. None of that settles the case. For case results, turn to the courts.
The official Idaho iCourt Portal posts public case events and the court's outcome for each charge. The Shoshone County Clerk keeps the court records. Visit Suite 120 at 700 Bank Street in Wallace. The main number is (208) 752-1264, and the courts line is (208) 752-1266.
